Canopy CD

Canopy is a completion of so many of the simple guitar motifs that came to life on quiet evenings playing my old nylon string guitar. 

 To say I wrote this album would be a lie, I gave some general direction to the other musicians involved, but everything added was very unique to the person playing it.  Kevin's percusion and vibraphone brought so much texture and rhythm, I even left bass out of the arrangements because his kick tone was so full and perfect. Zach's trombone lines created so much of the feel and the cool. Eric's bass clarinet melody on the bridge of Boho is probably my favorite moment of the record, and his counterpoint throughout is just wild.  Phil's violin transformed these laid back jazzy numbers into cinematic movements. Replace any one of them and it's a different record. 

I hope you enjoy these songs. I think they will be great to cook with, walk with, read with, work with, rest with.
